Semester Comes to a Close

David Knoell, Technical Director, Tuesday, 4 May 2021

Spring has arrived, and with it the inevitable close of another academic year. As we all look forward to summer break, please join us for our end of the year virtual "cookout" and awards show. https://lakeforest.zoom.us/s/98836228674

Thank you to all the students and alumni who participated in this year's programming and for making all the magic possible.
I am forever grateful to your dedication, and wish you all the very best.

CASTING POLICY

The Department of Theater at Lake Forest College is committed to equity, diversity, and inclusion in our work, including in the casting of our plays. We will strive to create performances that speak to and reflect the diversity of our community. We are committed to building a creative and dynamic community that celebrates individual differences and diversity and treats everyone with fairness and respect. We encourage students of all backgrounds, gender expression, and physical ability to audition for productions. Lake Forest College does not discriminate against any persons because of race, color, sex, religion, or national or ethnic origin in its education program, activities, or employment.

When particular casting needs come up, as articulated by the playwright in a published text, we will make those requirements explicit in the audition notice. In all other cases, we urge directors to challenge preconceived notions of casting. We are committed as an institution to creating opportunities for everyone.
